MEDITATE WITH Thee ~ Part One

(MWT) MEDITATE WITH Thee

What Meditation means?
The literal meaning of meditation is to contemplate, or deliberate, musing or it could also mean a prayer, to ruminate on a thought.

What it means to me?
Thoughts are like colours.
Here in our country we have this festival of colours called Holi, and we preferably wear white clothes so the colours show out well on them.
The moment you step out of your home you are going to be coloured with an amalgamation of different colours; red, blue, green, yellow, pink and more; your white clothes will not be white then.

Our Mind is like those white clothes, like a white blank canvas and thoughts like a palate of different colours.

Through Meditation let these wonderful colours sail; and slowly... steadily as your breath gets normal, your mind calms down; you gradually cease to contemplate, deliberate, muse upon, pray, ruminate and finally the focal point is nothingness, the canvas is going to be white again. In that nothingness lies your connect with oneness; oneness with your higher self, with the universe, with that point of origin which is the core of all thoughts.

You have been meditating for some time now. Haven’t you?
Remember the vacation that you were planning for your family, how intensely you were thinking about JUST THAT. How much were you consumed with the thought and process of booking the right kind of resort, the right kind of travel option the right kind of food and everything related to your vacation! You were in a way completely absorbed into that one single thought and the CANVAS of your MIND had that one single colour.
So to say in literal terms you were MEDITATING.

Why do we not meditate if it is that easy and we are already equipped to MEDITATE?
Most of us want to meditate but why aren't we able to do it?
There are a number of MYTHS attached to meditation and these very MYTHS are the reason for many of us not having taken up on mediation as easily as it can be.
We plan, we meditate, we retrieve, we plan again, we meditate again, and we retrieve again… That’s because of these very MYTHS attached to MEDITATION; like…
What time of the day is right time to meditate? For how many minutes or hours the meditation has to be done? What position should be the best for meditation?
And many more such questions bother us; before we actually embark upon the journey. On the path of meditation!

Meditation is not a RITUAL,
The right time to meditate is; when you feel like,
The correct position or posture to meditate is; which you feel comfortable in,
The number of hours or minutes or seconds; shall depend on what you intend to achieve through meditation,
It is not a RELIGION, It is not BINDING.
It is simply an inherent talent we all are gifted with; we just need to IDENTIFY it and learn to PRACTICE it as and when we are called upon to do so; by our higher self, by virtue of our bodily needs or inner guidance or simply by way of repeated reminders from ethers... until it becomes as natural as breathing, as rhythmic as our heart beat.

In this I AM with YOU. And never forget YOU are with YOU.
Come! Join me! In this journey Every Thursday
